Seo is 5'4" and moved to the U.S. from her native South Korea to study abroad at age 14. Seo credits her career to her high school coach and athletic director who fought for her eligibility to compete at the varsity level as an international student. Seo attended Pennsylvania State University and the University of Oregon, where she studied lighting and architectural engineering and eventually graduated with a psychology major and business minor, all while competing and winning college events. After graduating, Seo worked full-time as a lighting designer in Las Vegas for Shop12Design (Steelman Partners) to fund her dream of being a Professional Tour Player. Since getting her Professional Athlete Visa in 2016, Seo has competed in Cactus, Symetra and LPGA events.
