Choi is 5’6" and started playing golf at age 11. She credits her coach, Jae Jang, and her father as the individuals who most influenced her career. She qualified for the Tour on her first attempt. Choi is known for throwing the best dinner party on the LPGA each year at the KEB Hana Bank Championship in South Korea.
